Winter | Peak Yin
WINTER // YIN 🖤
For those who struggle with these darker days, I’d like to remind you we are just 2 weeks away from the Winter solstice. After which, every day gets a little brighter 🌞
It can be hard to adjust our fast-paced lifestyles (Yang) to the dark and often wet days (Yin). Fiery Summer hurtles through Autumn, and we’re left feeling like Winter came all too soon. We find ourselves spending more time indoors, moving our body less, maybe spending more time alone. This can make you feel trapped, frustrated and low, understandably.
However, this can also be an amazing time to devote to yourself. I encourage you to take these next few weeks as a chance to slow down, look inward and give the body and mind a safe space to show you what it needs. Small sustainable steps - what can you do to make yourself 5% more comfortable? To feel 5% brighter? Use this time to build and conserve your energy, cultivate your Yin. (This might mean skipping a few festivities if it doesn’t feel right)
The next season, Spring, is about rebirth and new life bursting from the soil as the sun begins to warm it. Now is time to nourish and protect the roots below 🖤💫
