TCM Morning Routine

✺ TCM MORNING ROUTINE ✺

The ideal morning according to the TCM Organ Clock ⏰ if everything is in balance, this will feel natural!

5am - 7am: Large Intestine
• Wake up! In the darker months this may be a little harder, allow it 🌛
• As the Large Intestine is paired with the Lungs, this is a good time for breath work, even meditation
• Drink some warm water and have a bowel movement 💩

7am - 9am: Stomach
• Optimal time to have a big, nourishing meal. Something easy to digest (warm please!) with protein, healthy fats and carbs.
• Walk/move - stretch out the stomach meridian on the legs, hips and torso.
• Prepare to focus. Make to do lists for the day; anything that requires close concentration comes first.

9am - 11am: Spleen
• Concentrate - if the body is in balance, the mind is most clear at this time, and you should feel grounded. ☯️
*If you feel foggy, lethargic, or can’t concentrate at this time, “Dampness” may be to blame. Avoid sweet breakfasts and too much dairy.
